Have you ever wondered how much equipment you need for a home gym? Well it kind of depends on what you you want to achieve! For myself, this year I added a balance beam and pully (super easy). I train paddling dry land exercises and need extra balance challenges. With that said- a universal weight bench, squat rack, dumb bells (5lb to 25lb-) with 2 sets of each weight has been sufficient. A foam roller for SMR, exercise ball, skipping rope with medicine balls and yoga mat- complete the inventory.
Turn on a fun Les Mills class, Zumba or just dance!
Also- never underestimate how good walking is for you.
After listening to Danica Patrick’s January podcast- I will add red light therapy to my wellness inventory and seek out a sauna as well.
Happy January and do the best you can with the resources you have today.
